taluvu

Hello, I'm Asha

A calm presence for your health journey.

9:41

Some days are hard to put into words.

taluvu helps you make sense of how you’re feeling, notice patterns over time and remember what matters.

  • Track how you feel in a few taps
  • See what helps you and what makes things harder
  • Talk things through with Asha
  • Prepare for appointments

Asha can't diagnose or give medical advice, so check with your doctor before making any medical decision.

taluvu can't help in an emergency. If you feel unsafe, call 999 or Samaritans free on 116 123.

Welcome to taluvu

Living with something most people can’t see?

You don’t have to explain it here. taluvu already knows a great deal about what you’re carrying.

Takes about four minutes. Nothing is shared with anyone.

Keeping it safe

Save your first day?

You’ve just put something real in. An email means you can reach it from another phone, and it’s how we’d remind you before a trial ever charged you.

Only ever used for your account and anything you’ve asked us to send. Delete it, and everything else, whenever you like.

Making it yours

Want a gentle nudge once a day?

One quiet reminder, at a time you pick. No badges, no streaks, and no guilt if you miss it.

🔒 Nothing private on your lock screenIncluding the name of any medication. Ever.

Step 1 of 2: your name next

9:41
Making it yours

Last thing. What should Asha call you?

A first name, a nickname, or nothing at all. It stays on your device.

Step 2 of 2: then a bit about why taluvu exists

9:41
Why taluvu exists

Built by someone who has been there.

Built for people suffering alone, by someone who wanted something better.

I live with adductor dysphonia. It makes speaking unpredictable and exhausting. Some days my voice drops to a whisper, or goes altogether, with no warning at all. You learn to ration words. You plan a day around whether you’ll be able to speak in it. You stop speaking to people and time your days around your condition.

It took more than three years, and a lot of appointments, to be taken seriously. Along the way I was told it might be stress, anxiety, or something in my head. I’d come out of those rooms with nothing. Lost, frustrated and looking for answers.

None of it shows. That’s the part I wasn’t ready for. You can be genuinely unwell and still look completely fine, and looking fine somehow gets held against you.

What I kept wishing for was simple. Something that remembered when I couldn’t. Somewhere to put it all, so that when I finally got the appointment I wasn’t starting from nothing. Something that could speak for me on the days speaking was the hardest part.

Nobody had built a good enough solution. So I did.

With love and care I created taluvu.

I'm here.

You don't have to explain anything. Let's just slow down together.

If you need immediate support, you can contact Samaritans 116 123 (UK, free, 24/7). You don't have to be in crisis to reach out.

9:41

Your space is ready.

Would you like me to show you around first? It only takes a moment, and you can stop any time. Or you can dive straight in — whatever feels right.
9:41

Calm Space

You’re here. That’s enough. Choose whatever feels kindest.

Nothing here needs deep breaths. If you feel dizzy, tingly or spaced out, ease off and breathe less, not more — stopping is always the right move.

Your experience matters, whatever happened in that room.

How did that go?

This stays private. It helps build a record of your experience.

Past you helping future you. Based on what you've shared.

What Helps Me

What helps. What to avoid. What to try.

This grows as you use taluvu. Every time you log what helped or made things harder, it comes here too.

9:41

Why some days feel harder than others

Many people living with chronic or invisible illness experience changing levels of energy, concentration and physical capacity. Some days more is available. Other days even simple tasks feel enormous.

This does not mean you are failing. Your capacity changes.

One idea that helps some people describe this is called Spoon Theory.
Spoon Theory

Imagine everyone starts the day with a number of spoons. Each spoon represents a small unit of energy.

Getting dressed. Making food. Travelling. Working. Speaking. Socialising — all use spoons.

For some people, spoons replenish quickly. For others, every spoon matters. When they run out, symptoms become harder to manage.

The goal is not to do less. The goal is to spend energy intentionally.

You don't need to count spoons if that doesn't feel useful. Some people simply think of it as capacity.

This is a self-awareness framework, not a medical tool. You can change this anytime in your Profile.

9:41
These are the things I've learned from what you've chosen to share. You can remove anything.

What Asha Knows

Review the information Asha can use to make replies more relevant. You can edit or remove any item.

When you save something to your journal or a day, Asha can use it to understand you better next time you talk. Everything she keeps is listed on this page, and removing it here takes it out of her memory. Your entry itself stays in your calendar and journal.
